Northridge Interactive, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner in Atlanta, is pleased to announce that today the Web Marketing Association named Northridge Interactive and two Northridge clients as recipients of 2008 WebAwards. The WebAwards were presented to Northridge clients Lakehouse Coffee for Outstanding Website Design in the highly competitive Beverage Category, and to Whirl Helicopter for Standard of Excellence in the Small Business Category.
Founded by the Web Marketing Association in 1997, the WebAwards is the premier annual website award competition that names the best websites in 96 industries while setting the standard of excellence for all website development. The WebAwards uses a set of seven ranking criteria which are design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, navigation and ease of use. Both the Lakehouse Coffee and Whirl Helicopter websites surpassed their respective Industry and WebAward averages, excelling in design, innovation and interactivity.
The Outstanding Website Award, awarded to Lakehouse Coffee, recognizes outstanding work above and beyond the standard of excellence. This year, there were only eight Outstanding Websites recognized from a very large pool of entries in the Beverage Category. In addition to Lakehouse Coffee, 2008 Beverage Category WebAward winners included some of the largest consumer goods companies in the world such as Anheuser- Busch, Coca-Cola, Diageo, Dr Pepper Snapple, Procter & Gamble, Red Bull, and SABMiller. Excerpts from this year’s judges’ comments on the Lakehouse Coffee website include the following: “definitely one of the best entries I’ve seen in this competition”, “very engaging homepage that evokes a romantic brand essence”, and “great use of interactivity.”
The Standard of Excellence Award, awarded to Whirl Helicopter, is described by the Web Marketing Association as recognizing the standard of excellence for which all websites should strive. This marks the second consecutive year Northridge Interactive has received the Standard of Excellence recognition for its client work.
